  2. It used to be the house of the local Clan chief or Lord and then I think a farmer took it over. A local mentioned that now a couple from Essex had bought it and were going to convert it into holiday apartments, which would be a shame. Its a lovely house, kind of spooky, the kind of house with creaking floorboards and open fires and most importantly of all plenty of room for books!

    Tongue is a nearby villiage. The area was popular with the Vikings so I imagine its named after a Norse word much like Cape Wrath is.
